Job Title: Senior Corporate Accountant
Location: Billerica, MA 01821 (Hybrid 2 days per week onsite)
Compensation: $95-105K annual salary plus bonus and benefits
Scope of Role / Responsibilities
A newly created role reporting into the Director of Corporate Accounting, this person will be reviewing financial results, with exposure to all 100 company entities, reaching out to those entities and asking them questions. They’ll then work closely with them to understand the results and how they roll up into total consolidation. This role requires significant interaction with various company personnel. These activities include reviewing results submitted from various locations, assisting with the preparation of financial statement disclosures and the preparation of the quarterly external filings.
· Assist in preparation of the consolidated financial statements, footnotes and disclosures and documentation
· Coordinate and prepare the financial and statistical data utilized in the preparation and review of periodic SEC 10-Q, 10-K; 8-K and definitive proxy statement filings
· Ensure that all reports comply with applicable FASB and SEC regulations, professional standards, and organization policies. Prepare and assist with applicable government reports
· Review data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
· Research and resolve various accounting and SEC reporting issues and questions that arise at the corporate and group levels
· Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentation materials to executive management
· Assist with managing the relationship with the external auditors and the completion of the annual audit and quarterly reviews
· Analyze financial results and create management reports
· Assist in the development, maintenance and testing of the company’s finance and accounting control policies and procedures
· Completion of government surveys and compliance forms
· Assist with the research and implementation of new accounting standards
· Assist the Corporate Finance team in driving internal control initiatives
Qualifications
· Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
· Minimum 2 years of top tier / Big 4 public accounting experience OR 3+ years of private industry work experience either within manufacturing or some sort of technology company that produces a product
· Knowledge of US GAAP, 10K, 10Q, and annual reporting
· Experience with ERP systems (SAP is preferred, but not required)
· Strong verbal, written, computer, technical, and interpersonal communication skills
· Advanced technology skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
