As a Senior Clinical Quality Analyst, you will support health plan quality improvement initiatives with particular emphasis on compliance with state, and federal regulatory guidelines.

If you are located in Upstate/Capital Region New York, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining communication with auditing entity and provide support throughout the audit process
  • Scoring audits and writing audit reports
  • Scheduling travel and completing expense reports
  • Developing your own travel schedule
  • Traveling up to 75% of the time to conduct on-site clinician, group and facility audits
  • Attending team meetings to stay up to date on issues including inter-rater reliability, department meetings, training, and other department tasks
  • Providing exit interviews and feedback
  • Working to ensure our members receive the best possible treatment from a network of high-quality clinicians and facilities
  • Tracking and documenting all activities
  • Sending letters to providers

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a designated workspace and access to high speed internet service
  • 2+ years of experience in behavioral health
  • Independent licensure in the Behavioral Health field such as: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC
  • A Master's degree
  • Must live in Upstate/Capital Region New York
  • Active driver’s license
  • Solid computer skills at the intermediate level including proficiency in MS Office


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quality improvement knowledge
  • 6+ months of experience in managed care
  • Auditing experience
  • NCQA and JCAHO familiarity

New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $67,800 to $133,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
