Job Description

Job Title: Senior Brand Manager

Position Summary

Set the strategic direction for a critical enterprise brand strategy initiative. Create and activate the annual strategy and lead development of the plan that all channel partners follow. Lead development of marketing assets and creative elements for mass, mid, and lower funnel content, while ensuring consistent messaging/tone across channels/partner teams including Media, Lifecycle, Social, and internal/external agency partners. Serve as the brand liaison to agency partners and business teams. Drive go-to-market strategy and planning ensuring all campaigns are grounded in a clear creative/media brief in support of the business and marketing strategy. Lead direct reports and serve as a cross-functional quarterback for your initiative. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions

  • Participate in leadership-facing strategy development that encompasses, but is not limited to, your key brand initiative, including annual and quarterly plans based on consumer insights and segments
  • Represent your initiative to senior leadership across various functions (merchandising, tech, operations, analytics, etc.), owning communications strategy alignment meetings, brief approvals, and creative reviews
  • Create integrated campaigns with a bias for action in ambiguous situations
  • Lead a cross-functional team to bring communications strategy and campaigns to life as the hub of the wheel; disseminate communications to other content creators (Site, Social, etc.) based on business team input
  • Assess/calculate risk and opportunity costs to drive decisions that deliver against consumer needs and business metrics, including growing sales, brand awareness/equity, and ROI
  • Lead briefing process for creative/executional needs to balance business and brand goals to create clear, compelling briefs based on insights that unlock the business opportunity
  • Develop communication/documentation frameworks and own strategy discussions to develop dynamic engagement strategies for new and existing customers
  • Leverage insights to continually adapt our brand-building approach within shifting consumer segments and industry trends
  • Partner with analytics team to create and implement measurement plans; drive insights into future campaigns as appropriate to strengthen brand communications
  • Contribute to planning and management of budget allocations
  • Supervise, coach, and develop direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback

  • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or an equivalent field of study
  • Any experience leading integrated marketing campaigns, particularly mass channels that span channel and consumer targets, inclusive of strategy development, brief authorship, creative commenting, leadership alignment
  • 10+ years brand building experience (CPG, health and wellness, retailer, ad agency)
  • Any brand/innovation planning experience
  • Any experience guiding strategic creative development and partnering with agency teams to achieve business and consumer goals/objectives
  • 3+ years direct or indirect experience managing others
  • Track record of developing consumer-driven marketing strategies that deliver business results and brand growth

  • Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • Master's Degree in business or marketing
  • Any CPG brand management experience on a global brand
  • Deep understanding of brand building fundamentals, including experience developing others in this space
