Senior Associate Consultant (Technology Consulting and IP Strategy)

Job Responsibilities
- Research, interpret, and analyze diverse technology areas including wireless communications, Cloud computing, Desktop, and mobile software, the hardware of electronic devices, etc.
- Explain complex technology matters to semi-technical and non-technical audiences
- Conduct patent analysis and IP monetization research, including but not limited to, technology due diligence, market research, target scouting, infringement analysis, digital forensics
- Supervise, guide and lead global teams of Associate Consultants in internal and client projects
- Showcase technology and IP thought leadership via blogs and research reports
- Work with product teams to advise in the development & testing of Lumenci's technology platforms
- Collaborate across the organization in-person and with virtual, global teams
- Analyze public and confidential software (repo or standalone)
- Experiment and tinker with devices (smartphones, gaming consoles, and the like) to design tests and reverse engineer various functionalities using industry-standard tools, conduct source code review and product documentation research
- Travel up to 40%
- Establish and cultivate relationships internally and externally
Required Skills and Qualification
- Strong fundamentals in Electronics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering related fields and a high-level of interest in emerging technologies
- Comfortable with independently managing deadlines and prioritizing effectively to deliver quality results
- Semiconductor and/or optics related technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Publications and blogs are a strong plus)
- Familiarity with products, services, and standards in web, mobile, enterprise, media, etc.
- Ability to think critically and learn fast
- Comfortable researching a wide variety of cutting-edge Wireless Communication systems and technologies such as UMTS, WiFi, LTE, 3GPP standards, IEEE802.11, etc.
- Highly focused, organized, and detailed oriented
Preferred Working Experience
- Experience working as a project manager or team leader guiding technical teams
- Experience working in the Intellectual Property industry
- 3-5 years of experience working in a relevant technical role
Education
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Technology related Majors. Advanced degrees preferred.
