Job Description
Job Summary:


This role is within our HR Transformation organization and is based out of our headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL. The senior analyst is responsible for data gathering, reporting, analysis and interpreting for use in the development of business strategies. In this role, the use of Workday reporting tools to create and manage custom reports, as well as convert reports from PeopleSoft 9.2 Core HR will be required. Partnering with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, the broader business, and government agencies to identify, research, analyze, and resolve complex data requests.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collect business requirements using a variety of methods such document analysis, workflow analysis to determine metrics and reports needed to be built.
  • Participate in the design and build of consistent approaches, standards, and systems for analytics, reporting, and data comparisons and validations across various HR data sources and processes, including Workday.
  • Build out capabilities in data reporting, analytics, data governance, data analysis, and data quality, including those related to Workday.
  • Assure the accuracy of all data, reports, and analysis.
  • Ensure appropriate data security and data protocols at all times.
  • Assure data and analysis requests are clear the first time so as to provide accurate responses the first time. Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
  • Generate analyses and provide concise, insightful summaries to business questions, using Workday data.
  • Support data, system, and process testing, including those related to Workday.
  • Conduct research and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes, discover trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
  • Apply data blending techniques to combine external data with internal data to provide comprehensive insights, including data from Workday.
  • Make recommendations to improve data and analytics systems and platform, contributing to the continuous improvement of data and analytics strategy.
  • Provide self-service tools (dashboards, reports) and metrics to the user community resulting in faster more accurate results with high user satisfaction, including those that use Workday.
  • Participate in the planning, development, deployment, and testing of information and reporting solutions with a focus on efficiency and automation.
  • Provide analysis using existing and new data sources of both internal and external origin and position them to be incorporated into enterprise-wide HR reporting.
  • Working with IT and HR Transformation, assure thorough, efficient, and accurate data results from reporting tools and processes.
  • Interface with external vendors and consultants to support their reporting and analysis requests, including those related to Workday.
  • Identify opportunities for and complete automation of reports and processes.


Qualifications:


Qualifications


  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to consult and educate stakeholders on methods for streamlining and standardizing data recording to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand multiple data types from across the business and combine and analyze them to tell a story.
  • Ability to use data to identify opportunities and solutions to business and technical problems.
  • Strong understanding how to leverage technology to collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database systems.
  • Strong data manipulation skills and knowledge of handling large volumes of data, data mining, quality checks, data visualization, and problem solving techniques (SQL, PL-SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, SSMS, Access).
  • Developing queries/reports/metrics and analysis to answer simple to complex business questions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience with reporting and analytics (OR) or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Significant experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Qlik or Tableau.
  • Ability to develop personal capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning as well as formal and informal training and coaching, gaining professional accreditation to improve performance.


Additional Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Workday reporting tools, such as the Report Writer, Workday Prism Analytics.
  • Experience with AlteryX, QlikSense or Tableau
