Technology Infrastructure and Innovation (TI&I) spans the areas of Technology, Information Security, Deposit and Loan Operations, Project Management, Data Management Office, Corporate Real Estate, Operational Resilience, and Corporate Security.


US Region Corporate Security oversees and manages the close coordination of all security, business continuity and safety related activities within our Bank to reduce CIBC's exposure to fraud and security related risks and ensure that CIBC can continue to operate and be restored safely, effectively and efficiently under conditions of significant business interruption or crisis.


The Risk & Reporting Analyst will work closely with the Corporate Security Risk & Reporting Manager and other Corporate Security teams to develop and implement robust risk practices. The role is primarily responsible for supporting Corporate Security central reporting to include the development and maintenance of key performance and risk based metrics, as well as committee documentation.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Support the implementation of regulatory reporting for various entities in the US Region
  • Using business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI) to prepare metrics and dashboards for senior Management and Board level reporting for the US Region.
  • Support Corporate Security Risk and Governance efforts as needed: namely, the review and challenge of Risk Control Self Assessments for business interruption, physical security, and insider risk.
  • Support control testing in accordance with established standards and protocols to determine whether the controls are operating effectively
  • Develop a working knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding Corporate Security program areas and support Regulatory Compliance Management within our department.

Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of data and analytics tools such as Python (Pandas, Numpy) is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a data analyst in the financial industry or an adjacent industry is preferred.
  • Required proficiency in Microsoft Office products, namely Excel.
  • Experience developing dashboards using Tableau and PowerBI preferred.
