We’re currently looking for a Sr. Account Manager, Commercial Insurance who will work with producers and carriers to provide exceptional service to our clients.

What’s the work like?

You will:

  • Review client contracts and make recommendations to producer, client and/or carriers if it is necessary to modify existing coverage in order to comply with contract provisions
  • Effectively and independently manage customer service accountabilities on a book of business with an above department average commission income level for the assigned segment of business while meeting department service standards
  • Assist the producer in eliminating gaps in coverage to reduce E&O exposure
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Perform quality reviews as requested by management, and comply with requirements of quality programs
  • Prioritize workload to consistently meet objectives and request assistance from management when necessary
  • Promptly invoice all premium-bearing transactions
  • Review policies upon receipt in accordance with agency procedures for timely customer service
  • Complete servicing of accounts, including but not limited to preparing proposals, issuing certificates and auto ID cards, ordering and processing endorsements, audits, binders, and maintaining current status on all account tasks
  • Assist producer in development of service plan for key accounts; and, coordinate and monitor the service plan as needed
  • Promptly respond to customers' questions and/or requests for assistance
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance
  • Follow agency and department procedures as outlined by management
  • Communicate all necessary information to producers, clients, carriers and any other agency team members servicing the account
  • Maintain the electronic account file and fully incorporate the capabilities of the agency management system into daily workflow
  • Manage renewal process according to agency procedures; negotiate most advantageous renewal terms and conditions for the client; review quotes, prepare proposals and bind coverage
  • Any other special projects and duties as assigned
  • Meet with and maintain effective working relationships with insurance company representatives and clients to support business retention

Requirements:

What do I need to know?

You have to have…

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conform with and abide by all workplace policies, work procedures, and instructions
  • Ability to observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly
  • Five or more years of Commercial lines insurance experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with company employees and external contacts
  • Proficient in office equipment such as computer, calculator, copier, phone and fax machine
  • 7 years Commercial Account Manager Experience or 5 years Commercial Account Manager Experience and a CIC or CPCU designation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel), and all agency automation software
  • Strong respect for confidentiality
  • Proficient in department workflows and procedures
  • Resident Property and Casualty Agent's license
  • Proficient in word processing
  • Valid Driver's License
