GENERAL SUMMARY:
Work in accordance with established policies and procedures and/or specific instructions from the Security Manager. The Security Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the day to day operation of the Security department. Responsibilities include assisting in staff recruitment, training, supervision, scheduling and the safety needs of the community.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1. During emergencies or natural disasters, employee may be required to report for duty as assigned by the Security Manager for the duration of the disaster.
2. Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
Monitors Security staff appearance.
3. Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
4. Responsible for assisting the Director of Plant Operations in personnel related issues, included but not limited to hiring, training, disciplining and evaluating staff.
5. Responsible for ensuring authorization to admit all incoming traffic according to established.
6. Oversees community wide parking enforcement measures.
7. Responsible for meeting staffing needs, including but not limited to scheduling and filling in for absent staff, covering shifts when no one else is available.
8. Maintains Marketing and other events scheduled and assigns additional staff as required.
9. Conducts special projects as assigned by the Manager as required.
10. Keeps the admin services abreast of all Security Manager.
11. Responsible for maintaining high morale, ensures high quality work practices, and good working relationship with Security staff and other departments.
12. Performs scheduled rounds both inside and outside of the buildings to maintain a secure environment.
13. Assists in identifying department needs.
14. Assists in Work orders and service tickets for Security.
15. Orders and maintains Security supplies, tools, and forms.
16. Observes and participates in use of Universal Precautions.
17. Responsible for assisting in all phases of safety training including but not limited to performing fire drills and safety inspections and to make recommendations on needed corrections.
18. Monitors and maintains scheduled security checks, walking inspections and radio requests.
19. Responds to the emergency response system following standard operating procedure. Door unlock log, e-call log, hospital log, BAERS.
20. Responsible for maintaining timely, accurate reports and logs, including, but not limited to, incident reports, safety inspections, repair and service requests, emergency call logs, hospital log, BAERS and delivering pass-on reports to relief officers.
21. Responsible for immediate notification of all emergencies to appropriate personnel, including, but not limited to, the Executive Director and/or Administrator, Department Heads, Supervisor and Health Center Charge Nurse

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma is preferred. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English. Position requires a valid Florida Driver License. Position requires a Class "D" Security License. Must have the ability to obtain a CPR/AED certification. Prefer security and transportation background. Must have high proficiency using various computer applications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires walking or standing 50% of the time. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Must be able to move quickly, bend, stoop, squat, twist, climb ladder, maintain balance, and climb stairs. Must have the ability to perform gross and fine motor skills. May be exposed to the elements of weather as duty requires, heat, humidity, rain and exhaust fumes. The remainder of the time the employee is surrounded by regular building comfort conditions.
