The role is less of a technical business analyst but rather a Revenue and client relationship performance analyst. Someone who falls in the realm of a data analyst who can have/gain a strong understanding of the underlying data and types of relevant information to help drive increased revenue flow, alignment of sales coverage, identification of opportunities based on generated results. There will be components of this role that improves the reporting, visualization of results, and communication with stakeholders.


They must have visible experience in performance measurement (sales and sales coverage) to draw insights to interact with sales stakeholders to drive and bolster relationships. While there is a key element of understanding the underlying data and how generate analytics, another element is to develop strategies to further develop client relationships and revenue growth.


Some additional information I received from the client regarding desired resource characteristics to consider as we look for other candidates.


Communication must be a strong communicator as this role will be working closely with senior level stakeholders.


  • Ability to know level of required communication based on the audience (i.e., concise, what they need to hear, or data based driven facts/observations nothing that would trigger unnecessary questions)
  • Possess a sense of control over the conversation, subject matter, and underlying data.


Very Analytical Strong understanding of data and the types of data relevant to the subject matter


  • Ability to determine key factors based on relevance to the business leading towards the identification of hot topics (i.e., opportunities for additional business development, analysis of sales coverage alignment/misalignment)
  • Strong curiosity about the business and the impact of client relationships - unlocking the doors to business opportunities and growth.
  • Ability to disseminate appropriate level of information and data-based results to users and stakeholders based on respective audience.


Adeptness to work both collaboratively and independently as a subject matter expert.


The role is more analytical than technical but inclusive of utilizing the right tools to perform analytical and decision-making functional duties. (Programming/coding not necessary but a nice to have)


Project Background/Purpose


The Identified Resource Will Work Closely With Sales Management And The Sales COO Team Globally To Evaluate Client Relationships And Identify Target Areas Of Opportunity And/or Concerns Including


The Client requires a Business Analyst to support the Sales COO Team in their efforts to drive strategies to enhance and bolster client revenue and salesforce performance as well as create a better market position.


Assessing client revenue performance (by sector or segmentation).


Assess Salesforce interactions with client base based on value proposition.


Help develop and drive resource allocation strategies based on identified sector/client targets


Required Skills / Experience


5-10 years' experience in financial services


Bachelor's degree


Possess genuine and strong interest in institutional sales and trading including underlying business level data fostering performance enhancing decision making and value proposition.


High comfort and ability to work with large data sets and generate analytics/insights.


Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (incl. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)


Prior experience and aptitude to translate and articulate data-based (revenue and sales performance) results into a story and direction with actionable activities.


Strong communication skills (written/oral) with the ability to vary style based on audience.


Organized and detail oriented.


Ability to be flexible in balancing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Ability to work independently and collaboratively with employees at all levels across multiple geographic locations (domestic/international)


Ability to multi-task between new and existing initiatives


Additional Skills(e.g, Technical)


Proficiency in usage of Power BI / Business Objects (plus)


Working knowledge of KDB database (plus)
