Summary of Job Duties:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Interventional Services is responsible for a broad range of activities that are critical to the functioning of the services. The RN will consistently provide effective direct care to a variety of patients, work as part of the interdisciplinary team, based on licensure, title, and competencies. The RN seeks, as well as provides, feedback for improved clinical practice. The RN integrates theory and research into clinical practice. PRI Interventional Services includes ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy), Esketamine Administration, and IV Ketamine Infusions. The RN works under the direct supervision of the CSM.
Employee must successfully complete a UAMS-sponsored conflict management training to identify, prevent, and mitigate disruptive behaviors using methods such as non-escalation, de-escalation, personal protection from physical assaults, and physical alternatives within six months of hire.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Must have strong work ethic and accountability
  • Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
  • Must have strong organizational skills and basic computer knowledge
  • Current and valid RN license by the State of Arkansas
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current BLS
  • 2 or more years of Registered Nurse experience
