Retail Demand Planning Analyst

SUMMARY

This Demand Planning Analyst position reports to the Director of Demand Planning and provides support to all areas of the Sales and Demand Planning process. The Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing key account data to identify both risks and opportunities versus the demand plan forecasts, developing action plans to achieve business goals, and effectively communicating findings and recommendations to Sales partners for alignment. This Analyst will be responsible for managing the demand plans of a few minor channels and will assist with preparing information for the demand planning phase of S&OP monthly process as necessary. We are a growing company with a fully remote workforce; therefore, this position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, can juggle multiple priorities at once, has a strong attention to detail, and can effectively communicate across teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in and prepare information for demand planning phase of S&OP monthly process as necessary.
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Planning teams to understand key inputs and drivers of item level performance.
• Analyze available internal and external data for key accounts including weekly sales, orders, in-stocks, and inventory levels; identify gaps or upside versus forecast.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
• Manage demand plans for minor channels.
• Proactively communicate the demand plan gaps/opportunities across internal teams to align resources.
• Publish and send out weekly/monthly selling reports with call outs to sales and executive team.
• Identify potential sales opportunities and gaps to plan at both macro and micro level (item/door).

• Experience with Target or other major retailers a plus.
• Relentless about attention to detail
• Multi-tasker that can juggle many balls, can effectively prioritize and manage multiple deliverables.
• Ability to articulate and present findings to a diverse audience.
• Comfortable interpreting large data sets, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
• Resourceful individual that thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
• 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Merchandise Planning, or Inventory Management
