ZOA Energy

The ZOA brand was launched by founders Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Dave Rienzi and John Shulman in March of 2021 as a new healthy, positive force in the energy drink category. ZOA is designed to support healthy immunity while providing a boost of energy and hydration. It contains a unique blend of 100% DV Vitamin C from natural sources including Camu Camu and Acerola plus B-vitamins and electrolytes.


Job Purpose

This is a highly collaborative leadership role having responsibility for the vision and execution of the Demand Planning function at ZOA Energy. The role will also entail managing cross functional relationships with sales, marketing, finance and supply chain to ensure complete integration and alignment.


Main Responsibilities

  • ·Lead and execute the Demand Planning process to ensure the attainment of accurate forecasts and cross functional alignment on a monthly basis.


  • Create the methodology to measure demand planning accuracy and understand the variances to achieve continual improvement.


  • Assist in the development of a S&OP process and lead through the forecast each month discussing changes versus prior forecast and the reasons for accuracy misses.


  • Highlight and manage gaps versus the Supply Plan and the Sales Targets. Work with the organization to help close those gaps.


  • Create demand scenario analysis and educate the organization on risks and opportunities in the numbers so that we may respond accordingly to mitigate risks or capture opportunities.


  • Develop ways to improve and simplify the demand planning process. Recommend technical tools that will improve our forecast accuracy.
  • Lead collaborative forecast sessions with our customers sharing and receiving insights that will bring alignment and improve our forecast. Align with Sales and our Customers on points of distribution, velocities, and promotional lifts.


  • Utilize historical data (category growth, seasonality, shipments, consumption, displays, promotional lift, etc.) along with future changes (new distribution, new items, future promotions, marketing programs, etc.) to fine tune the demand plan for balance of year.


  • As our demand plan starts to stabilize, recommend and implement statistical tools/models that will help improve our accuracy while also making us more efficient.


  • Lead the requirements gathering and execution accuracy for a new CRM system and/or demand planning system.


  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Finance to ensure that data needs are met monthly.


  • Support the ad hoc needs of Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Finance and Supply Chain.



Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Retailer landscape and the data that supports insight creation.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills, with MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Results-oriented; Team Player; Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience using the IRI Unify platform and Power BI is a plus.
  • 10 years in the food/beverage industry experience and 10 years of experience working directly in some aspect of Demand Planning. Knowledge of predictive analytics and statistical modeling.
  • Knowledge of customer centric retailing principles and the analytics of customer purchase behavior.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in the food/beverage industry.
