Residential Autocad Tech Jobs

We are a local builder actively seeking an individual to join our pre-construction team that is responsible for various tasks in the new home release process. We build 175+ speculative homes per year in the Temple and Belton area. We have our set base of floor plan options, so we are not seeking a drafter to develop new plans but AutoCAD is required for this position and plan edits may be a job responsibility. Job responsibilities range from plan preparation and distribution to permit applications.
Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school (preferred, but not necessary).
• Ability to edit architectural documents-floor plans, elevations, electrical, sections, details, plot plans.
• High self-motivation for completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, construction documents, and familiarity with codes and review processes.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Architecture (required).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
• Modify and/or review drawings to ensure the incorporation of design intent.
