Drafter Jobs

The Drafter is responsible for supporting the development of FEED study and detailed design drawings in order to support the development and execution of successful projects. This role will collaborate with the design engineers, project engineers, project managers, as well as the Procurement and Operations teams.

• Serve as a resource to department, projects, and construction processes
• Serve as technical resource to engineers, fabrication, and operations
• Work with project team as a representative and coordinate cross functionally as required
• Design and draft advanced drawings
• FEED Study document development (PFD’s, P&ID’s, General Layout, and 3D models are product systems)
• Review vendor documentation and comment as it applies to client and project needs
• Independently utilize industry and company standards to design effectively
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes for customers and makes recommendations for improvements
• Provide potential solutions to complex issues
• Identify changes in scope of work during small to mid-sized projects and produce drawing changes as needed to stay within the budget and schedule
• Act as a field resource to assist construction in field resolution of issues
• Create 3D modeling with some supervision
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and members of immediate department
• Review application of standards and make suggestions on improvements needed
• Perform assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize person productivity
• Balance individual performance requirements with the demands for team participation

Requirements

• Works collaboratively across departments and involves others in solving problems
• 1 to 3 years' minimum relevant experience in oil & gas industry required
• Ability to support project teams and departments in a positive and productive manner required
• Experience utilizing a computer-aided drafting program (CADWorx, AutoCAD, Navis Works) and have knowledge of the latest computer operating systems, thorough understanding of spreadsheets and databases required
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or High School required
• Ability to adjust to varying demands of work required
• Ability to work well with others to accomplish common goals and objectives required
• Self directs work with limited supervision required
