The CAD Drafter will aid all employees of the design department in supporting designers and other CAD Drafters in the implementation of Audio, Video, and Lighting designs.

Your day will look like this:
  • Assist with as-built drawings by combining the notes from field installation and information from the project managers.
  • Assist in gathering of documents, technical data sheets, and manuals that are required for the projects.
  • Any other related duties as required by the department
  • Support Design Engineers in research and validation
  • Conduct research products into new and specialized equipment.
  • Assist in the creation of CAD blocks to build up Solotech internal library.
  • Keep informed about new products and new technologies in the audiovisual field.
  • Creation of technical drawings (block diagrams, single-line, patch details, cable numeration, element positioning in space, mounting details, etc.)
Your profile:
Education:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience drafting AVL systems.
  • Intermediate level of skill in AutoCAD at a minimum
  • Specialized software and/or DSP configurations for lighting, sound analysis, calibration, commissioning dimmers, various sound and lighting consoles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office solutions
  • Experience in Audiovisual, Sound, Lighting, Production, or Project Management
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to understand and interpret single-line connection plans, electrical building elevation plans
  • Intermediate knowledge in sound, lighting, control, video, and video conferencing
