RESEARCH DATA ANALYST I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) - NORTH COAST REWOODS DISTRICT / FORT HUMBOLDT STATE HISTORIC PARK


The reporting location for this position is shared between the Fort Humboldt State Historic Park in Eureka, CA. and National Park Service South Operations Center Building in Orick, CA. 95555. This position will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Park and Recreation Specialist.


The North Coast Redwoods District will be hiring a Research Data Analyst to support Redwoods Rising, which is a collaboration with California State Parks, Redwood National Park and Save the Redwoods League for watershed restoration. Restoration of degraded redwood forest ecosystems and watershed activities include restoration thinning, road reoccupation and removal, reforestation, and large wood placement in streams. The Redwoods Rising Data Manager will provide support to the collection, archiving, management, maintenance of record of decision of data pertaining to natural resource utilization, operational, financial, and GIS data related to Redwoods Rising. This will be a position that will require coordinating with multiple staff and organizations.


Training and Development Assignments may be considered.


This position may work up to 1500 hours per year with the option of an extension not to exceed 2040 hours, subject to special funding. Some overnight travel or work on weekends or nights maybe required.
