Start your Jacobs career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow.
Your Impact:
When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We’re looking for a strong remediation professional with treatability experience who can help develop initial concept to full-scale remedial and beneficial use solutions on complex projects. This is an opportunity to work with other subject matter experts and to get in on the ground floor of innovation and creativity in the remedial technology and beneficial use spaces. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of remediation projects throughout the United States including discrete industrial sites to broad-based Department of Defense mining and sediment challenges. This is a remote position, based out of the United States. At times, travel could be up to 50% of your time when executing laboratory-based treatability or field pilot studies.
Jacobs excels at designing and implementing treatability study and technology field piloting services for proper remedial design and successful full-scale construction. Accordingly, the successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, observation and forensic skills, curiosity, and creativity to comprehensively document remedial phenomena observed in the laboratory.
For this position you will be mentored by subject matter experts who are at the respective top of their fields, grooming you to be a technology icon adept at not only developing and vetting remedial solutions, but ensuring they are implementable by our talented design, project, and construction managers. Our subject matter experts interact with Fortune 100 company remediation leaders on a regular basis and publish articles in technical journals, so strong writing and visual/verbal presentation skills will be required. This role requires close coordination and communication with Jacobs’ design, project, and construction professionals to build consensus with regulatory agencies and the public on remedial concepts and to ensure seamless delivery of the project.
All projects need to be delivered with high safety, compliance, and quality standards expected by both Jacobs and our clients. Our global team is here to provide you with the tools to keep your career growing as well as those around you. By driving consistency and innovation across site characterization and remediation projects, you’ll help your team achieve the clients’ goals.
At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. By joining Jacobs, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.
Continue your environmental career at Jacobs - where we’ll empower you to learn and grow as you deliver environmental projects that make our world better.
Typical salary range for this position is $64,000 - $112,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
Here’s What You’ll Need:- Masters or Doctoral degree in chemical, civil, environmental and/or geotechnical engineering, chemistry, geology, environmental microbiology and/or science, or closely related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years consulting experience performing similar work.
- Academic and/or professional experience conducting field investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, and optimizing remediation systems.
