This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Earth & Environment, Site Investigation and Remediation team in our Redmond, WA office. WSP’s Site Investigation and Remediation team offers environmental remediation and related services to a diverse set of clients, including industrial/commercial companies, local and state agencies, and the federal government. Project locations are local, regional, and nationwide. We have in-house experts in chemistry, risk assessment, data management, graphics/GIS, engineering, and industrial hygiene who support projects in the Pacific Northwest and many other locations, and have access to subject matter experts worldwide. The position requires a self-motivated candidate able to work as part of local, regional, or national project teams.

Your Impact

  • Possess knowledge and technical skills in Federal, Oregon and Washington regulations.
  • Perform complex technical tasks under oversight of more experienced technical reviewers/directors as appropriate.
  • This position provides opportunity for career growth over time, and the ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to help grow our environmental consulting business.
  • Member or leader of teams providing environmental consulting services to commercial and government clients.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
  • Support technical reports, plans, and calculations in a consulting environment.
  • Work on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, with substantial emphasis on soil, soil vapor/gas, groundwater, surface water, stormwater investigations and remediation systems, chemical fate and transport assessment, hazardous waste management, permitting, and site planning.
  • Solve problems and document solutions.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Express ideas through strong technical writing and verbal communication.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Consistent and highly accurate project work
  • Flexible to work outside of business hours, when necessary
  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook, in particular
  • Comfortable working within both small and large project teams to achieve objectives
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Ability to work in industrial and field environments as well as in the office
  • Professional registration in Oregon or Washington (preferably both)
  • Minimum 5 years of environmental consulting experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • B.S. or higher in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline

Compensation and Benefits:

Expected Salary: $97,800 - $130,300

WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
