Rehab Tech/Administrative Assistant - Part Time

Seeking a Part Time Administrative Assistant / Rehab Tech to provide administrative support to the therapy team at our nursing facility in Chicago, IL

Medical Office Admin experience encouraged. Must be a good communicator, computer literate, have organizational skills, and must be an independent worker.

Location: Chicago, IL

Status: Part Time 20 to 24 hours per week

Schedule: Flexible schedule within Monday - Friday, Regular Business Hours

Duties Include But Not Limited To

• Ordering DME, ADR's
• Schedule patients
• Transfers with Residents
• Assisting Clinical staff
• General office duties
• Contact physician offices for referrals and signatures
• Insurance Verifications
• Maintaining gym and equipment
• Communicate with residents and family members
• Copying
• Filing
• Faxing

The Rehabilitation Aide performs activities essential to promoting the comfort, mobility and independence of residents. This position provides support to the licensed professionals to enable them to effectively perform their duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in preparation for treatment.
• Assist licensed therapists with treatment programs designed for each resident, as instructed.
• Assist therapists with resident evaluations, as instructed.
• Maintain inventories and order equipment, as required.
• Perform other duties, as assigned
• Attend meetings and in-service sessions, as directed.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures and participate in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
• Assist with transporting residents to and from therapy.
• Maintain departmental records as directed.
• Support the Company’s commitment to Compassionate Care; project a professional image to foster confidence in the Rehab Program.

Qualifications

• Some experience preferred in the care and treatment of residents in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to understand and follow the directions of licensed professionals.
• Minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
