Position Title:Regional Sales Manager / Regional Territory Manager
Department:Sales
Reports to: Director of Sales
Position Function
Direct and manage the sales activity of a defined territory of existing and potential customers. Perform the direct selling function in that territory.In conjunction with the home office, develop and implement strategic selling plans for that territory, product line and sales campaigns. Assist, as needed, with Independent Sales Reps in training and sales related business.
Key Results Area
Meet or exceed individual and team quote, booking and sales goals, including gross margin
dollars. Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with customers, field personnel and home office team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the assigned region to maximize sales revenues and gross margins.
Develop new customer targets
Develop and implement specific plans to meet targets.
- Perform sales activities for major accounts, major opportunities and direct selling
- Takes corrective action when results are off plan.
- Manage activities of the reps. (i.e. hire, train, coach, appraise, reward, motivate, discipline and recommend termination as necessary)
- Attend and coordinate local and national industry shows.
- Track and report competitive activities.
- Assist and involve the sales rep when necessary.
- Provide quarterly report covering key activities and accomplishments.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of desiccant dehumidification and the application of it to industrial and commercial situations
- Identify target accounts and implement a plan to build relationships.
- Provide quarterly results assessments
- Manage and develop sales rep force, if needed
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent knowledge of desiccant dehumidification technology, products and
applications
- Proven skills in building and managing a sales territory and direct selling skills
- Track record of profitable sales growth and Rep Management where necessary
- Excellent time management, communications, decision making, human relations,
presentation and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and presentation.
- Computer and smart phone/mobile device literate.
