This involves partnering with design to ensure compliance with regulatory codes, insurance requirements, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) needs. The manager also establishes staffing and talent plans and ensures that back and front of house strategies align with financial metrics and service goals.
  2. Revenue Management and Sales Strategy: Developing a revenue management and room sales strategy based on the company's strategic vision. This includes driving effective Average Daily Rate (ADR) and occupancy, working closely with Accounting, Construction, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), and Marketing departments.
  3. Customer Management: Co-leading the implementation of technology platforms such as Property Management Systems (PMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and integrating customer databases. The manager also focuses on measurement methodologies, identifying core customer segments, and creating operations plans to attract and retain customers. They oversee the customer experience budget and resource allocation across all businesses.
  4. Strategy and Growth: Collaborating with the broader leadership team to align technology, brand, and operations. This involves forecasting new hotel project costs and returns, creating a performance-based culture, establishing relationships with business heads, coordinating commercial activity, and influencing the leadership team through financial insights and forecasts.
  5. Qualifications and Education: The Regional Operations Manager is expected to have at least 10 years of experience in general management, strategy, and/or marketing roles within global consumer and hospitality companies. They should have a track record of developing sustainable business strategies, managing P&Ls, building high-performing teams, and applying technology to drive business transformation. Excellent communication and presentation skills, understanding of consumer trends, and thought leadership are also essential.
