S3-Sutter Shared Services-ValleyPosition Overview:
Executes the sourcing and/or recruiting process for non-executive positions. Develops and maintains a network of contacts to build and grow passive candidate pipelines, cultivating relationships to establish a qualified talent pool that is readily available to meet business needs. Partners with hiring managers to understand operational needs and job requirements to determine, create, and execute the hiring strategy. Secures quality talent, screens and interviews applicants, and provides a shortlist of screened candidates to hiring manager. Collaborates with recruitment logistics for the post-offer process and issues relating to relocation or immigration.:
Sourcing
- Creates tactics to identify, develop and maintain a network of contacts/sourcing channels to build and grow pipelines of passive talent to fill vacancies due to geographic specialty needs or talent gaps, or to strategically prepare for short/long term talent needs or market trends.
- Cultivates relationships with employees holding positions in hard-to-fill areas to develop a referral pipeline of experienced talent.
- Partners with Center of Expertise (CoE) and/or operational leaders to understand future talent needs.
- Evaluates existing internal talent pool, researches and identifies options for sourcing externally, and finalizes talent pools to source.
- Manages sourcing channels by designing and developing recruiting collateral (e.g., website, media, campaigns, brochures) and integrating new talent branding as defined by CoE.
Recruiting
- Determines candidate’s total compensation package, extends and negotiates verbal contingent offer, determines tentative start date with candidate, and provides information on relocation and/or immigration services as applicable.
- Provides coaching and counseling to hiring managers related to hiring guidelines, interview techniques and questions, determining best fit, and hiring the best candidate.
- Partners with hiring managers to understand operational needs and job requirements, and to advise, create, and execute hiring strategy.
- Collaborates with recruitment logistics for the post-offer process, ensuring a seamless handover for onboarding.
- Screens and interviews internal and external applicants, and provides a shortlist of screened candidates to hiring manager for review, communicating with applicable candidates throughout the recruiting process.
Other Activities
- Attends job fairs and community events to source or build a candidate pool.
- Works with external search firms to find candidates for hard-to-fill or unique vacancies.
- Partners with total health & productivity management (THPM) team and/or HR staff in conducting an alternative job search to find new opportunities for employees impacted by an industrial or non-industrial injury/illness or a reduction in force. In some cases, may be necessary to coach and influence managers in these unique hiring situations.

- Recognizes and communicates potential issues to leader, recommending solutions as appropriate.
- Plans and organizes work to ensure delivery of business results.
- Contributes ideas and actions toward continuous improvement of processes and workflows.
EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. or equivalent education/experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
5 years progressively responsible experience in a human resources, recruiting or sourcing position.
5 years experience in working with multiple processes and serving multiple customers.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of applicable employment discrimination laws.
Familiar with local and national labor market trends.
Knowledge of recruiting best practices/processes.
Knowledge of and ability to use various social media/technology platforms to recruit and source candidates.
Demonstrates assessment skills to screen candidate’s suitability and qualifications to connect the candidate with the appropriate job opportunity.
Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, and to present information to a variety of audiences.
Demonstrates ability to influence decision-making when circumstances require.
Ability to establish credibility, and to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of the role’s duties.
Demonstrates respect for cultural and linguistic differences and promotes an inclusive work environment.
Organization and planning skills to effectively manage and/or re-prioritize activities and projects to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of responsiveness.

Pay Range: $37.86 - $56.79 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
