Salary range for this position: $65,675 to $95,229
Uwajimaya’s Real Estate Project Manager is part of the Real Estate and Facilities team. Uwajimaya’s family-owned, small business culture means the person in this role will work closely with company leadership, store team members and third-party consultants to execute a wide range of real estate and facilities related projects. The Real Estate Project Manager supports the Real Estate Department in the acquisition, construction, management, and leasing of real estate for Uwajimaya by organizing internal efforts and coordinating with property managers, architects, contractors, etc.
The Project Manager will support a wide range of services within the Real Estate and Facilities Department.
The Real Estate Project Manager's main responsibilities are:
- Coordinate store remodels as well as building and facility maintenance, signage, décor installs and equipment upgrades.
- Compile,organize, and evaluate Asset and Facility Management reports and documents for the company’s properties.
- Provide asset management support and oversight in concert with the VP of Real Estate.
- Implement project management processes to track current and future projects, provide regular updates on status, timelines and budgets to various stakeholders and gather project-related feedback.
- Oversee and manage real estate and facilities projects within the company’s stores and facilities, coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and meet leadership expectations with minimal impacts to customers.
- Manage and coordinate project documentation, including the necessary internal approvals and organizing close-out documents.
Job Requirements:
- Creative approach to problem solving and an enthusiasm for learning.
- Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (real estate, construction management, project management preferred).
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge in the key aspects of real estate and asset/facility management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, time management and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with team members from a variety of backgrounds in different functions inside and outside the company.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple locations.
- 3+ years’ experience in project/construction management, property/building operations and/or management.
- Familiarity with the development process, including design, permitting, budgeting and construction management.
