Team Overview

The Quality Management group of SAP Identity Access Governance (IAG) Development Team is in charge of managing the quality control and assurance process for in-market and upcoming releases of SAP Cloud IAG application.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Identity Access Governance (IAG) Development team, based in Palo Alto, California, together with two other globally stationed sister teams, develops and delivers enterprise-level software applications that focus on Regulatory and Compliance Industries worldwide on their access control and management needs.

Our projects focus on cloud-native application and functionality development, data analysis and replication, new data modeling initiatives, composing robust user interfaces with latest UI technologies such as HTML5, and introducing these applications, services, and features to the market via SAP’s cloud deployment platform.

As a Quality group member of Development organization, you will gain in-depth understanding and experience through extensive participation in the complete development cycle of a commercial enterprise-level cloud-deployed software product. You will be involved in designing and executing quality verification activities and will conduct manual or automation testing to continuously improve and safeguard the quality of our development process as well as products. You will also have the opportunity to devise and work on special quality assurance project that may be independent from development scope and timeline.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Actively engage in development discussion and project planning/review.
• Contribute to survey, analysis, and assessment projects on product quality against product-specific or corporate standards. Contribute or author regular or on-demand quality reports to management.
• Conduct tests manually or automatically during the development/testing/optimizing phases of SAP IAG software offering.
• Work on special quality assurance projects as required.
• Identify, document, and track defects during testing periods
• Under the guidance of Senior Quality Specialist or Quality Lead, define and develop test strategy and plans, cases, or scripts based to business requirement and software specification.

Education And Qualifications / Skills And Competencies

• Must have good communication skills in both verbal and written proficiency. Multi-linguistic is very helpful but not mandatory.
• Able to self-organize own work. Able to make recommendation and decisions based on solid judgment.
• Actual working experience with software development and operation lifecycle is essential.
• A team player with proven track records
• Basic working knowledge of modern software automation testing tool is important.
• Has basic to advanced working experience with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
• Candidates must have graduated with a BS or MS degree majoring in a relevant field in Information, Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
• A fast and self-motivated learner
• Strong in analytic thinking and problem solving skills.

Work Experience

At least two years hand-on working experience in a quality assurance capacity in a modern computer software engineering or development institution would be mandatory.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
