Job Description

The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for promptly and accurately getting Bio-Rad products into the hands of our customers. We maintain product integrity from end to end and respond expeditiously from the moment an order is received. As a result, customers around the globe receive the test kits, instruments, and consumable solutions they need - on time and in full to ultimately provide better healthcare and outcomes for their patients.


Bio-Rad is looking for a Quality Control Specialist to support Bio-Rad’s commitment to quality and safety by testing raw material and in-process commercial Quality Control testing. As a part of our Quality Control team, you’ll apply your science knowledge in testing BioPlex for assay component raw materials, bulks, fills and finished kits tested according to FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing employing Good Laboratory & Manufacturing Practices. This role is critical in maintaining the overall quality of Bio-Rad’s products and services.


How You'll Make An Impact:

  • You will prevent problems from recurring and ensure that the products and processes meet the required standards.
  • You will provide critical feedback on quality issues and work to improve processes and products.
  • You will identify quality issues and raise them to the attention of the right individuals or teams.
  • You will identify any defects or inconsistencies that may affect the quality of the product and take necessary corrective actions.
  • You will work with different teams in the organization, including Manufacturing, R&D, and Regulatory Affairs to contribute to our overall success.
  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the processes, minimizing errors and improve efficiency.
  • You will perform quality checks and tests on products, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure that they meet the required specifications.


What You Bring:

  • Time management, you will prioritize your work, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • You have the ability to work well as part of a team. Your close collaboration with other team members will ensure that products meet specific standards.
  • Attention to detail, Quality Control is all about ensuring that products meet specific standards, and this requires a high level of attention to detail.
  • You will identify problems and develop effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • You will also have a BS/BA degree in the physical sciences, basic working knowledge of laboratory environments and computer software programs.
  • Analytical skills, in order to identify issues or areas for improvement, you will be able to analyze data and information quickly and accurately. Strong analytical skills are essential for success.
  • You will demonstrate clear communication, ensuring products meet standards, and issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner, while maintaining cooperative relationships with tact.
  • Experience in a general laboratory environment performing analyses in the areas of chemistry, biochemistry, or associated areas of life sciences, is preferred.

Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,480.00 to $75,200.00 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
