Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Quality Production Specialist to join the Special Investigations Group (SIG) and support Onsite Investigations for the Fabrication Division Core Quality Team based in Auburn, Washington.


This position supports the Notification of Escapement process across BCA Fabrication Division working closely with Manufacturing Business Units, Engineering, Supplier Quality and Airplane Programs. The role performs detailed inquiry, analysis and communication of information to resolve Quality issues throughout the value stream. Position Responsibilities:


  • Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Conducts audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
  • Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
  • Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review.
  • Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.
  • Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.
  • Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distribution.
  • Verifies internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedures. Creates airplane specific airborne software packages.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.


The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
  • 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • 1+ years of experience interpreting data and presenting analysis and/or recommendations to management.
  • 1+ years of experience with conducting quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Team leadership or mentoring experience.
  • 1+ years developing presentations for senior leadership.
  • 1+ years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality.
  • 1+ years of experience in using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $69,700 - $94,300
