Quality Control Manager (Construction Background Required)

JOB TITLE: Quality Control Manager FLSA Exempt
Primary Function
The Quality Control Manager supports the Quality Engineers and Construction team with the application of quality procedures, processes, and tools. This includes promoting, training, coaching, and assisting in the implementation.
Responsibilities
Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports quality engineers in process validations, process control, process training programs, process involvement, and risk management.
• Works with subcontractors and suppliers to resolve of improve quality issues and to implement effective corrective action.
• Empower quality engineers to drive Quality Management activities.
• Works cooperatively in a team environment to reach common results and goals.
• Develop organizational talents, skills, and competencies within the quality team.
• Develops protocols for validation, evaluates data and writes reports.
• Develop construction production quality plans and audit programs.
• Develops individuals and teams to create sustainable knowledge and skills for Quality Management implementation through coaching and mentoring.
• Performs studies on new processes and procedures or devices to establish control points and proper settings and finishes.
• Serves as a resource for problem identification, improvement, and resolution.

Develops and maintains quality standards and requirements for the delivery of construction projects.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in QC/QA program for site and building construction.

Knowledge And Skills

• Communication skills, ability to express ideas clearly and objectively, orally and in writing.
• Knowledge in building codes, construction material standards, and ISO/TS requirements.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to properly deal with sensitive/confidential information.
• Understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards.
• Knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/quality control activities.
• Knowledge of MS Office desired.
