Quality Control Specialist - Post Harvest

The ideal Post Harvest QC Specialist will be responsible for the quality control of the post-harvest processes, from dry rooms to pre-trim. This job requires manual labor with the plants following a harvest and multi-tasking throughout several departments in the facility.

Requirements Include:

• Reset all Dry Rooms to standard after take-down for the next plant harvest
• Monitor all harvest Dry Rooms, starting in the second week
• Partner with Trim and Packaging Manager to schedule Dry Room takedowns ahead of the trimming process
• Oversee plant bin cleanings and maintenance to ensure inventory is available for next
• Ability to follow precise direction and timelines for all tasks, and remain flexible as business needs evolve
• Submit Quality Control recap to Trim and Packaging Manager daily, including any product QC issues that impact the integrity of the plant
• Oversee the post-buck process; prepping dry plants for the trim team
• Maintain and update the Dry Room and Bin Room worksheets; accurately record dates, weights, quantities, and genetic information
• Follow all QC protocols set forth within the department, including cleaning, storage, and green waste standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Record daily moisture, temperature, and humidity readings in Dry Rooms; report any findings as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Quality Control, supporting cannabis, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other regulated industry.
• Exposure to and working knowledge of manual and computer-generated batch records and record keeping complying with state regulations.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard operating procedures, checklists, and protocols.

Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and position oneself, communicate, operate and prepare, and place, and position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 35 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. Working Environment:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high. Temperatures in the work environment range from cold and dry to warm and humid, respective to the product processes and plant lifecycle. The work environment requires the use of PPE at all phases, and strict cleaning and cross-contamination protocols. The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
