Quality Control Engineer Jobs

Summary:

Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.

Responsibilities:

Designs, implements, and maintains plan Quality System that supports the business unit objectives and customers’ requirements.

Plans, coordinates, and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.

Performs quality engineering reviews and program specific tasks for compliance with stated requirements and ensure compliance to current certification standard.

Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes and to improve product quality and cost.

Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures. Coordinates trials of new process materials including the use of check gauges.

Coordinates quality system audits, process audits, and spot audits. Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during these quality assurance activities.

Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Assists with corrective and preventative action and maintains system follow-up.

Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities. Defines and controls Quality Plans, procedures, instructions and requirements, gauging and check fixtures.

Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management. Assists other business unit locations as required.
