About the Quality and Performance Team:

The Augmedix Quality Performance Team is part of our Quality and Performance department. This team oversees Medical Documentation Specialists (MDS) to ensure high-quality service is delivered to both new and existing clinician customers. The Quality and Performance Manager is the subject matter expert on all things pertaining to Augmedix’s services and deliverables, in-depth auditing, and root cause analyses to maintain full compliance on every note taken by our team members in the US and abroad. The team identifies opportunities for system-wide improvement to effectively optimize Medical Documentation Specialist time and resources, and works extensively with cross functional teams to grow and scale the company.

About You:

If you have a passion for healthcare, healthcare technology, and are drawn to training, analysis, and performance coaching, then your skills may be perfectly aligned for this position. The day-to-day of this role requires someone who is able to quickly assess the needs of an identified challenge and offer recommendations to course correct. You are particularly good at encouraging those around you to reach their full potential and are able to communicate cross-functionally with several departments in the organization as well as with external client stakeholders. This opportunity explores interpretation of quality auditing results, process improvement, project management, content development and consulting with vendor management teams.

Responsibilities (subject to change depending on experience/interview process):

  • Provide expertise to customer success teams on clinical workflows and documentation best practices to deliver high quality service and ensure successful new customer launch
  • Strong persuasive communication skills to manage Clinician service expectations and provide coaching on optimal ambient communication techniques to receive maximum value from the Augmedix product and improve quality of documentation
  • Manage an average of 50 projects that address MDS issues that impact an Augmedix clinician’s service experience concerns which include: inconsistency in back up MDS quality, EHR related issues, low Notebuilder utilization
  • Review and analyze quality assessments and objectively provide feedback in a direct, clear, and concise manner to stakeholders
  • Serves as the main liaison between business leaders across Global Vendor Operations, Product, Implementations, Customer Success and Sales
  • Monitor compliance with all policies and processes across all Operations teams
  • Responsible for developing, executing and monitoring projects plans and timelines to ensure deliverables are met

Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, excellent judgment, highly organized, able to manage data, and track statistical trends
  • In-depth critical thinking skills to evaluate issues and identify a potential solution. Creatively addresses complex or new problems
  • Experience in Performance Management, Quality Assurance, Operations, and/or Consultin
  • Advanced ability to effectively lead one or more projects with competing demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Adaptable to quickly changing priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required
  • Must demonstrate highly efficient time management skills and the ability to complete all necessary tasks within a reasonable time frame
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, including but not limited to: problem-solving, teamwork development, leadership with other team members. Works well with others who do not report to them in order to achieve common goals
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to both internal and external stakeholders including verbal and written, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling skills. Clear and concise communicator
  • Scribing/Healthcare equivalent experience understanding medical terminology and practices preferred, but not required
$65,000 - $75,000 a year
Salary range is listed above. There are several factors that determine final pay for a position including location and experience. Total compensation will typically include salary + performance bonus + equity.
