About Our Opportunity The Python Web Application Developer (aka: Software Engineer), will work on our specialized "Run" team to run and maintain critical revenue cycle, compliance SaaS applications, and data content for Valenz's healthcare clients. Your primary focus will be to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of these applications by identifying and resolving issues, implementing necessary updates and enhancements, and ensuring that all systems are up to date. Things You'll Do Here: Monitor the performance and stability of existing Python applications, identifying and resolving any issues or bugs that may arise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and system administrators, to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as application updates, security patches, and system backups. Coordinate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and make necessary changes or updates to the applications. Develop and maintain documentation related to application configuration, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Conduct regular tests to ensure the functionality and performance of the applications and make necessary adjustments to optimize their performance. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Python application maintenance. Ability to context switch between projects as requirements and timelines evolve. Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements: What You'll Bring to the Team: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required. 5+ years software engineering experience. 3+ years of Python application experience. 3+ years JavaScript application experience (we use VUE.js!). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Excels in a deadline driven environment, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. A plus if you have: Familiarity with SQL and ORM frameworks
