Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Jobs

Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to the SCIHP Native American Community. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will meet and work collaboratively to perform patient assessments and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, and provide patient education. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide patient care in a culturally appropriate manner to the patients of SCIHP.

Qualifications:

• MUST have proof of completed COVID vaccines, booster, and annual Flu vaccine.
• Must be CPR certified or attend a SCIHP CPR training to become certified.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience related experience or equivalent.
• Master of Science in Nursing, with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation.
• Maintain a current, valid, and unrestricted license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Knowledge of services provided by other SCIHP departments and the ability to work cooperatively with those departments.
• Exceptional computer skills. Strong charting/documentation skills. EHR (Electronic Health Records)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Hold and maintain a current, valid, and unrestricted DEA Certificate.
