Proposal Specialist (Remote) Flexible Salary Range: $60K - $85K Summary of Position Responsible for a broad range of proposal activities, such as analysis of Requests for Proposal/Qualifications (RFPs/RFQs) and outlining requirements, authoring and editing document sections, maintaining proposal collateral system, and helping to ensure compliance with all instructions and requirements specified in client requests, as well as Sundance's style guide and standard operating procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Writes new and edits existing text to accomplish a clear, compelling, and focused response to RFPs/RFQs and similar client documents. Works closely with proposal teams varying in size from 2 to 20+ and ranging from technical field staff to subject matter experts. Contributes to the development of proposal strategy/capture, win themes, and differentiators. Deconstructs RFPs/RFQs and helps prepare proposal requirements outline, gap analysis, schedule, and template documents for presentation to and usage by the proposal development team. Participates in virtual proposal development meetings, from kickoff to final review. Writes and edits sections of proposals, response-specific resumes and project descriptions, and qualification documents (i.e., Requests for Information, Capability Statements). Prepares and responds to data calls. Compiles complete proposal response packages to attain a persuasive, easy-to-read document with a unified voice and evident theme(s). Performs proposal closeout practices following document submission. Other potential duties include: SharePoint data entry and update. Technical editing support to include editing client deliverables; recommending changes to document scope, format, and content; and organizing materials according to specified agency or Sundance standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Design, preparation, and content creation for client-focused presentations. Social media postings/content creation. Graphic design using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Basic website editing using WordPress. Qualifications 5+ years of experience writing and editing proposal materials. Proven performance preparing proposals for environmental industry clients. Knowledge of federal agency terminology and acronyms. Experience analyzing, deconstructing, and outlining RFPs/RFQs. Comfortable working with proposal teams across a Teams virtual environment. Demonstrated ability to work under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Superb interpersonal and communication capabilities. Excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills. Advanced user of Microsoft Word and Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel.
