Position Summary


The Project Specialist 1 oversees projects, ensuring timelines, high level quality, and customer expectations are met or exceeded. Incumbents in this position serve as the main point of contact and frequently communicate with customers, internal partners, and vendors to establish and manage project timelines. They provide technical assistance and guidance to the sales organization as it relates to developing an optimum solution.


Essential Responsibilities


Under Supervision and with general guidance and support:


  • Develop or modify project plans, present progress report, and provide client feedback to management.
  • Performs functions which directly or indirectly impact the servicing of accounts (i.e. order entry, quote follow-up, problem resolution, etc.).
  • Meets department goals and objectives.
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring the project / forms order is completed within the expectations established with the customer.
  • Participates actively in a team environment and takes responsibility for their portion of the team's activities and results.
  • Participates in visits with customers as required.
  • Creates and implements specific strategies if customer expectations are not being met to ensure retention and growth initiatives are being achieved.
  • Coordinates project and forms order activities with all inside and outside vendors
  • Directs, controls, and/or coordinates project-related functions for assigned Scantron customers.
  • Participate in preparing accurate account analysis as requested, including revenue forecasts.
  • Provides excellent customer service to Scantron customers to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction and account revenue retention.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for identified customers regarding projects and forms orders.
  • Recommends new products and services desired by customers/specific markets to management.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement to develop improved processes and adheres to all existing processes established.
  • Manages and tracks customer-owned finished product.


Preferred Skills/Experience


  • Project management-based software.
  • Knowledge of scanner functions and related software.
  • Knowledge of press and bindery functions, including the type and capability of equipment.
  • Experience with a project management-based software program.
  • Experience in a business analyst/project management/customer service role.
  • Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Access
