Job Summary
The Supplier Onboarding Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the supplier master file and performing supplier data maintenance. This position is accountable to ensure that supplier master records are complete, consistent, accurate and compliant with internal policies and procedures. The Supplier Onboarding Specialist is also responsible for streamlining the supplier record management process and actively tracking and reporting issues to assist the Assistant Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationships in proactively alleviating process and policy concerns.
Essential Functions
- Assist with system upgrade testing; work within test environments to ensure smooth transition of upgrade into production.
- Other duties as assigned
- Addition, modification, and deletion of supplier master records; Ensure compliance with control standards, internal procedures and audit requirements following supplier master set up standardization protocols; Assist in information gathering for audit and measurement reporting purposes.
- Monitor supplier master file to identify obsolete suppliers, duplicate records, and incomplete or inconsistent supplier master data; Perform regular cleanup of the supplier master database.
- Ensure consistent and professional communication and customer service is provided to university suppliers and community. Provide necessary support to both suppliers and university community as needed to ensure supplier records are completed according to existing policies, procedures and timetables of the university.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant office work experience, procurement and/or payables preferred
- Bachelors Degree preferred

Additional Information
This is a full-time, temporary position classified as non-exempt. The offered pay is dependent upon internal equity and the successful candidate’s competencies, education, and experience.
