The Project Manager position will responsible for running small to large projects that ultimately help deliver the best online shopping experience to our end users for Alchemee (previously The Proactiv Company). This position will manage and coordinate all activities leading to the successful completion of organizational projects. This position will also partner closely with Marketing and Business leads to translate project requirements into actionable plans with all facets of organization, including documenting all aspects of the project, as well as scoping, budgeting, resourcing and reporting. This role will primarily be focused around highly technical project implementation and documentation


The ideal candidate is an active listener with strong interpersonal communication skills as well as a natural collaborator who can ask and give feedback to both business owners, and internal and external stakeholders. This person has a passion for bringing best practices into the business while actively sharing business perspectives, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class global standard.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for evaluating and tracking project performance, while identifying and solving for any potential risk or blocker.
  • Identify risks and communicate them effectively to stakeholders and team at-large.
  • Develops project plans which identify key issues, approaches, performance metrics and resources required.
  • Collaborate with Design, Development, QA, Brand, Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Operation teams to carry out various organizational projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in measuring customer satisfaction during and after implementations.
  • Ensure competition of both department and organizational wide projects. This will require direct work with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Drive decision making and escalate to compete deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Clearly define and document business stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to all project stakeholders, including executive team, on the status and progress of all projects.
  • Provide quality documentation of overall project actions/status.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve customer issues that threaten the success of the project both internally and at the customer site. Candidate must show the ability to manage customer issues in a proactive manner and provide customer-focused solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Meet or exceed established PMO metrics including but not limited to, requirement documentation, assigned project reporting/deliverables, and customer satisfaction reporting, ROI.
  • Utilize effective change management best practices.
  • Reads, writes, interprets, and explains technical or complex information. Communicates effectively in all mediums, including verbal, non-verbal, and especially written.


Education, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


  • Five or more years of experience as a Project Manager supporting software teams / projects in a comparable industry (e.g. subscription ecommerce).
  • Ability to learn quickly, self-start and ask key questions ahead of deadlines.
  • Highly skilled with project management and documentation tools.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
  • Two or more years of experience working with the Agile Methodology; SCRUM master certification and/or PMP certification, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Smartsheets
  • Superior communication skills; must have the ability to communicate, write, advise, and counsel on extremely complex matters.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field
  • Comfort and ease with a fast-paced, ever-changing creative environment.
  • Knowledge of Direct Response Marketing principles and consumer behavior a plus.
