Basic Purpose


To plan, manage, and execute all aspects of life-cycle projects from inception through implementation. To develop project plans and deliver solutions on schedule and within budget in support of service innovations and organizational and process changes/enhancements. Use project management skills to collect, document and manage risks and dependencies across strategic initiatives in the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office. Primary focus would be identifying, tracking, reporting and escalating delivery risks and dependencies in alignment with EPMO governance processes, managing and communicating escalated dependencies and ensure resolutions are in place, as well as facilitating the creation of integrated business/technology roadmaps.


Responsibilities


LEVEL I/II:


  • Oversees project progress to ensure project documentation and schedules are updated and accurate
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Manages multiple, small to moderately complex projects and solves moderate to complex project-related problems
  • Prepares and presents reports, roadmaps, and/or other presentations to management and executive leadership
  • Interacts effectively with stakeholders and division/department leadership concerning projects
  • Maintains/archives project documentation
  • Manages projects from concept through the planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases
  • Defines, develops and executes project plans, including scope definition, expectations, activities, cost estimates, and schedule
  • Sets, manages, and communicates client expectations for the project
  • Ensures effective management of projects from inception through implementation
  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves areas of concern, or cross-organizational that may impede or impact other projects/initiatives
  • Interacts effectively with stakeholders and/or executive leadership concerning projects
  • Recommends improvements across division/department lines
  • Works with the business group to determine and understand business requirements
  • Develops clear and concise “big picture” of projects within Navy Federal organizational goals
  • Ensures project deliverables are met in accordance with customers’ expectations


LEVEL III


  • Drives the success of initiatives across division/department lines
  • Creates business cases, conduct ROI and benefit analysis, identify project success criteria and calculate post-implementation benefits
  • Interacts effectively with stakeholders and executive leadership concerning projects
  • Serves as a trusted advisor, consultant and product owner to department leadership and advocate for the department’s strategy and goals
  • Prepares and presents roadmaps, dashboards, and other presentations to team management and executive leadership
  • Acta as mentor to junior team members by providing guidance on getting project launched and high-level oversight on smaller projects
  • Manages multiple, complex projects and solves complex project-related problems


Qualifications


  • Advanced skill in project management to include managing timelines/deadlines/resources
  • Effective skill presenting to stakeholders & management
  • PMP, SAFe and/or other relevant certifications desired
  • Significant experience in leading multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Familiarity with process workflow concepts and design: lead times, input/output relations
  • Minimum of 4 years industry experience, preferably in the consulting or financial industry

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.


Salary Range: $64,800 - $146,300 annually


Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.
