As a project manager – construction, you will be responsible for delivering build-outs, retrofits, and other construction projects throughout the Starbucks corporate office portfolio on-time and on-budget. You will work with GCs, vendors, and our internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of quality spaces that help our Partners perform their best.
As a project manager – construction, you will…

• Manage vendors – your strong vendor management skills will be used to maintain relationships and help our vendor partners deliver their best. You are familiar with General Contractor bidding/negotiation processes and can manage the GC relationship. You have experience working with Landlords and meeting their requirements for building on the premises. You will be knowledgeable of and adhere to Starbucks Security policies for vendors working on-site.
• Mange projects – utilizing strong project management skills you will deliver projects using industry best-practices. You will be able to influence people and meet project deliverables. You will work within project budgets and schedules. You will create and track project budgets. You will work within Starbucks Finance requirements for procurement, invoicing payments, accruals and asset management. You are familiar with punch walks and completing punch list items. You are able to seamlessly transition space from the construction phase to the operational teams.
• Be a construction industry SME – you will possess a strong knowledge of construction terms, concepts, best practices and standards. You will use this knowledge to lead all construction activities in your area of responsibility. You are familiar with drawing reviews.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting – you will create and maintain detailed documentation and reporting including project schedules, budget trackers, communication plans, project charters, project updates, etc. You will be able to make assessments and decisions based on data to deliver on your projects.

We’d Love To Hear From People With

• Bachelor's degree in facility or construction management, architecture, or business related field preferred
• 5+ of experience in a role performing financial analysis, budgeting and planning for construction projects
• 5+ years of experience in a role delivering 15 or more concurrent projects in a retail or restaurant environment (QSR)
• 5+ years of experience using MS Outlook, MS Excel, and project or construction management program(s), such as MS Project, Primavera or Timberline systems.
• 7+ of experience in a role bidding and negotiating for construction projects
• 7+ years of progressive experience in a role performing project management job functions for construction projects including permitting and approvals
