Project Manager (Application Implementation)

Location: Waukegan, IL (hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Contract Length: 24 Months

Pay Rate: $70-80/hr

Senior-Level Project Management role within the Outsourcing Centre of Excellence at a global pharmaceutical company supporting the rationalization and implementation of a new application-based tranformation project.

Suitable applicants must have extensive Project Management experience (10+y).

Ideally, applicants will have previous experience with application rationalization, transitioning multiple tools into a single integrated solution.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manages/directs the activities associated with small to large scale projects with a focus on any or several IT business applications and disciplines.
• Collaborate/work with project sponsors, business units and users to identify project scope and focus, develop or monitor project initiatives, implement project requirements/plans/processes/tools, assign/guide/monitor project staff, and assure project success.
• Provide business application consultation, problem tracking/management, project tracking and reporting, and presentation to management and users.
• Deliver quality project solutions to business problems or issues within defined budgets and/or timelines.
• Manage/direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the Full Project Life Cycle.
• Provide expert project guidance/support proactively through project completion.

Experience/Education Required:

• Demonstrated competencies in IT Project Management
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Information Services, or Computer Science preferred.
• Experience in application rationalization, transitioning multiple tools into a single integrated solution
• Experience working with procurement technology and contract management tools
• Minimum of 10 plus years as a Project Manager.
