Job Title: Program / Project Manager

Location: Chicago, IL. 100% remote role

Duration: 6-12 Months

Scrum or SAFe Agile certification and PMP or Prince 2 Certification. Prefer experience as an agile coach.

Opportunity with new group at Client (Digital Nexus' ePMO Delivery Execution team). They are looking to add an onshore Project Manager to their team of PMs.

This role is responsible to function as an agile project or program manager with overall responsibility for the successful planning, tracking and execution of multiple, simultaneous, large complex programs, projects, or program iterations with a high-risk profile.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the program and project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality, holding teams accountable for their work, fully engaged in the program or project, and removing roadblocks.
• Lead internal customers and teams in the development and maintenance of project, program, or program iteration artifacts, such as scope, approach, solution, plan, resources, and estimates for strategic, on-premises or cloud-based IT application development or infrastructure projects.
• Be the program or project’s entrepreneurial advocate, ensuring communication transparency, optimizing the risk profile, and enhancing the benefit realization for the customer.
• Manage resource plans, facilitate team meetings, publish meeting notes, and action items, ensure follow up with team members, update project documents and systems, ensure timely completion of action items; facilitate post-project/phase reviews.
• Develop and execute organizational change management plans to ensure the seamless adoption of new systems and processes.
• Mentor, train and coach less experienced team members on standards, processes, and tools.
• Facilitate the delivery of customer-centric outcomes through the sustained use of consistent methods, people-focused engagement, and the systematic reduction in non-value-added work. Establish positive, collaborative relationships with customers in order to meet their goals and objectives.
• Adhere, and contribute to, the unabated optimization of the project and program management standards, processes, and governance, including tools and reporting.
• Develop, track, and manage project forecasts and costs; request budget allocation and reallocations; ensure the project and/or program is within budget; manage and control changes to scope.
• Define a program or project’s schedule and scope focused on the timely and systematic delivery of outcomes for the customer.

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority. Must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing IT enterprise projects that are high-risk strategic, transformational, on-premises or cloud-based, involving IT application development and infrastructure.
• Scrum or SAFe Agile certification and PMP or Prince 2 Certification. Prefer experience as an agile coach.
• Project management experience that includes full lifecycle software development using industry best practices and methodologies, including agile, hybrid and waterfall.
• Experience as a ScrumMaster, leading Agile ceremonies, facilitating scrum teams, measuring team velocity, reporting on team progress, and removing impediments for assigned team(s) as well as coordinating a Sprint backlog in conjunction with Product Owner and team members preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Participate in and facilitate post program and project reviews to cultivate a learning organization.
