Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Executive to join a dynamic electrical construction organization. As a Project Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex electrical construction projects from conception to completion. Your exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a senior-level position that requires extensive knowledge of electrical construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Strategy:
- Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company goals.
- Identify and assess potential risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and monitor project progress to ensure adherence to established plans.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, in collaboration with the project team and stakeholders.
Team Management and Leadership:
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, ensuring their professional development and engagement.
- Allocate resources effectively, manage workload distribution, and monitor team performance to ensure project objectives are met.
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, including electrical engineers, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.
Project Execution and Quality Control:
- Monitor project activities, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Oversee all aspects of electrical construction projects, including procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and deliverables.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and providing project updates.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships, understanding their needs, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
- Identify opportunities for additional services or project expansions, working closely with the business development team to maximize client satisfaction and business growth.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Review and approve project invoices, change orders, and payment requests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Develop project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure projects are completed within approved financial limits.
- Identify opportunities to improve project profitability, cost-effectiveness, and resource utilization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in managing electrical construction projects, including project planning, execution, and successful delivery.
