Parker Jewish Institute's newest grant-funded program, the COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccine Uptake Initiative, is seeking a Full Time Project Coordinator to join this essential program, aimed at providing increased vaccine-related services to historically underserved communities across Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, including the elderly population.
This is an exciting professional opportunity to play a key role in a grant-funded health initiative that will provide essential services to the communities we serve. This is a 1-year program.
As Project Coordinator, you will assist in the oversight, direction and management of the Institute's COVID-19 and Influenza and Vaccine Uptake Initiative and other members of the Program team. You will conduct community outreach, host vaccine clinics, and provide support and facilitate other essential services to ensure patients can attend their vaccine appointments while identifying and addressing barriers to getting COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations.
Position Requirements

• Strong clinical knowledge/background; prior experience working in a healthcare setting
• Access to reliable transportation; position will require outreach/travel in the field
• Prior experience working with the elderly population a plus
• College degree in a related field; Nursing Degree a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
