Join the New York office’s creative, inspiring, and growing practice as a partner to office leadership and a champion of financial management best practices.

You will work closely with office leadership and Project Managers to inform and advise them on the finances of the office and projects. You will be a member of the office management team and connected to the Perkins&Will corporate accounting group. You must love creative problem solving and translating numbers into information that your colleagues can understand.

Responsibilities:

• Support the annual operations plan
• Accounting functions including time and expense reporting, client invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, etc.
• Support the reporting requirements of the firm wide corporate accounting group
• Prepare and file all local Business License Applications, Sales & Use Tax Returns, and occupancy tax returns if required by the office
• Reporting and analysis of financial and operational metrics, ad-hoc reporting to support executive decision making, budget and variance analysis
• Team with Project Managers and office leadership to track project financial performance including reviewing project work plans, budgets, and staffing plans for fee alignment; provide project financial training as needed
• Open communication with other offices on projects between multiple offices

Requirements:

• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Finance/accounting or related degree with three to five years of accounting experience in a professional services environment, preferably in the architecture or related design field
• Initiative and ability to work well independently and with others
• Experience with Deltek Vision or other resource planning tools is preferred

Salary Range Information

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position is between $89,000 and $103,500 commensurate with qualifications.
