Job Description
  • Title: Programmer/Analyst I Job Type: Regular Company: Roswell Park Cancer Institute Department: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Contributes to the design and implementation of software applications. Including but not limited to: web based applications, interactive dashboards, operational tools, integrations with third part applications and data sources. Performs routine and intermediate computer program analysis and design; researches supportive data and writes, codes, tests, and debugs computer programs; monitors program implementation and designs programs accordingly. Starting salary for this position is $71,496 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications:* Required Education and Experience 1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field; or 2. Associates degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time software development experience; or 3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with a diploma or certificate in a computer science, or related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time software development experience. NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, Codelgniter, etc), JavaScript UI frameworks (VueJS, Angular, React), the ability to learn independently using online resources, and excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills. They will also have relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB, MS SQL Server, etc.) Microsoft Office 365 Rest API, Git, and PHP, JavaScript, and HTML development skills.
