Join our team and take on the opportunity to build and nurture relationships with local government leaders all over Ohio as key agents of change for our climate future. You will work closely with PCFO Member Communities to help them leverage our resources and achieve their carbon emission reduction goals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and grow the position and PCFO’s technical support resources and capacities. Salary Range:$62,500 to $70,000 yearly


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize technical assistance efforts and manage relationships with external consultants and vendors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local governments in Ohio to support greenhouse gas emissions strategies focused on equity and cost savings.
  • Utilize project management tools to report on program activities
  • Support the recruitment of PCFO Member Communities and attend events representing PCFO
  • Work with the PCFO Technical Assistance Team to implement strategies for direct and indirect technical assistance to local governments.
  • Other tasks as assigned by PCFO’s Executive Director.
  • Draft regular programming updates
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, note-taking, and record-keeping for frequent meetings and events.
  • Serve as staff lead on Zoom webinars and gatherings, oversee webinar logistics, and assist with online surveys
  • Serve as the lead in onboarding new PCFO Member Communities.
  • Oversee the development of technical assistance materials, including supplemental research and editing as needed.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Willingness to travel within the state
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Based in Ohio and the ability to travel within the state
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize time and resources efficiently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams, external consultants, and vendors
  • Demonstrated work experience related to the job responsibilities


Preferred:

  • Track record of effectively building and maintaining relationships to support project implementation
  • Software/Application Proficiencies: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, Doodle, Slack, and Zoom.
  • At least 2 years experience working in a hybrid/remote work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree


Desired:

  • Knowledge of local government structures and processes, including but not limited to professional planning certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in urban development, business, communications, engineering, environmental science, public policy, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of career experience in government relations, climate policy, sustainability, advocacy, urban planning, public policy, or a related field.
