Your Role and Responsibilities


The role will be part of the Sports and Entertainment team which leads our technology and client programs aligned with some of the largest events in the world. This professional will lead and guide internal teams and external teams, collaborators, and partners in developing compelling clients experiences related to our Sports and Entertainment technology portfolio. They will work alongside the strategy and technical teams - while leading our engagements with sales leaders and executives to identify high opportunity prospects where we can make an impact on client relationships and pipeline progression. They will support compelling and thought-provoking storytelling experiences onsite at our events. He/she/they will help expand the influence and impact of the Sponsorship team in the company and among our most valued clients.


This person with lead our tradition of developing Best in Class experiences that deepen our relationships with clients and compel them to deepen their relationship with IBM.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise


  • Ability to work across a matrixed organization and drive impact through influence.
  • Ability to thrive in a "live events" environment that is always changing.
  • 7-10 years in an event and hospitality leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and team mentorship skills.
  • Manage the IBM brand across the many touchpoints of the portfolio.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience and understanding of working with sales and client teams.
  • Strong budget management and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working directly with CEO and Executive leaders.
Knowledge and history driving compliance with company policy and business controls.


Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise


  • History of developing B2B event experiences.
  • Knowledge of demand systems and lead management programs.
  • Experience working with and negotiating with agency partners.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
