The Program Coordinator works with the faculty and academic deans of the School of Law to support the school's academic programs and mission.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate orientation and training for adjunct faculty.
- Perform other duties as assigned by academic deans.
- Collecting and compiling data on student and graduate performance.
- Coordinate adjunct faculty staffing and scheduling
- Provide support for joint degree programs — includes communications and coordination with Associate Dean for Academic Programs, Associate Dean for Law & Health Sciences, Law Admissions Office, Law Registrar’s Office, Academic Advising Coordinator, counterparts in other UIC units, and joint degree students.
- Organize on-campus trainings, workshops, and events.
- Provide support for projects related to faculty executive committee.
- Serve as primary point of contact for adjunct faculty; respond to inquiries from faculty on behalf of Associate Dean for Academic Programs, referring inquiries to others as appropriate.
- Provide support for projects related to accreditation surveys and other similar projects.
- Communicate with faculty and bookstore, and occasionally students, regarding textbook adoptions.
- Collect syllabi from faculty; review syllabi for compliance with institutional policies; manage syllabus repository
- Coordinate adjunct faculty recruiting, interviewing, and approval process.
- Create, distribute, and collect surveys.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- A total of one year of professional Project Management experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
(Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- One year of experience in higher education setting
