Title: Program Coordinator II- Children's Administration - MSH - Full-Time Day Shift M-F 9-5

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm


The Program Coordinator II for the Mount Sinai Children’s Heart Center (CHC) is responsible for providing administrative, operational and programmatic support services. The Program Coordinator will support general operational needs of the CHC, with the initial focus of their work being around efforts related to quality and safety operations on the inpatient critical care unit and surgical patient population. They will support and help facilitate center-wide forums, such as the CHC M&M Conference and the Quality Council; they may additionally assist with the organization of case conferences. They will create and update Key Performance Indicators, and work with key stakeholders in the CHC to ensure that any required data submissions, updates are provided to CHC leadership. They will also facilitate and track progress on submissions to quality registries, and USNWR in partnership with the existing data team. They will take day to day direction and oversight from the Director of Quality and Safety for the Children’s Heart Center; and they will work hand in hand with the Director of Nursing for the PCICU and the Quality Program Manager for the Center.


Responsibilities


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • May assist in the preparation of program budgets and grants. May Assists in monitors, verifies and reconciles budget expenditures.
  • Provides assistance to staff in assigned areas to ensure program objectives are accomplished.
  • Maintains liaison with staff in other departments to coordinate program activities; to accomplish program objectives; and to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized.
  • Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness; demonstrates continuous efforts to improve support operations and systems, to streamline work processes and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
  • Coordinates and oversees data and reporting related issues, reporting of program statistics and the implementation of data collection procedures.
  • Supports the completion of key operational goals and milestones by organizing priorities, keeping track of key dates and communicating with stakeholders
  • Administers program procedures and systems. Ensures information is disseminated to staff regarding program and Mount Sinai Medical Center’s policies and procedures.
  • May monitor the workflow and make adjustments to ensure the timely completion of program support activities.
  • Assists in the planning, coordination and implementation of quality and safety forums, seminars, conferences and workshops. Recommends new ideas and concepts for program themes, materials and resources to supplement, expand or replace existing program components.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned


Qualifications


Education:


  • Bachelors Degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the degree when the experiences are closely related to the duties of the job.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.


Experience:


  • 3+ years experience coordinating and administering program activities for assigned area
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, hospital data systems, and/or quality registry data preferred


Compensation Statement


The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $58,661.00 - $74,250.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
