Product Quality Engineer Jobs

Donovan & Watkins is partnered with a great company in the Irving area of Dallas seeking a self-motivated SR. PRODUCT CODE COMPLIANCE ENGINEER to join their growing company and reporting to the Director of Marketing. This position can seat in Tampa or Dallas.

This position will be heavily involved in testing and looking for someone with a building products background. Must have working knowledge in ICC, AFA, and ASTA. Would like to see 5 years of experience in this area. Along with additional experience in planning, developing, and implementing protocols to ensure the PSBP products are compliant with all applicable US and international standards and other technical product certifications. The company is in the building materials industry.

Our client will require someone who is an influential and able to persuade in coding standards. This position will also oversee the quality and testing functions located in multiple locations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• At least 10+ years of experience in within the building products industry
• Understanding of building materials code and other local, state, and federal regulations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• 4 years of working knowledge in Engineering and/or Compliance

Duties:

• Review compliance records to assure appropriate evidence is retained.
• Supervision of all product regulatory compliance activities
• Interface with Operations, Engineering, and Legal personnel to assure program consistency across the organization; obtain feedback on program implementation and effectiveness when necessary.
• Only candidates that meet the above requirements will be taken into consideration for this position.
• Coordinate data requests or requests for information received from various government and other agencies; validate compliance evidence.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure product certifications are achieved in a timely manner.
• Audits of facilities, equipment, processes, and records
• Monitor industry groups and trade associations (ISANTA, AFA, ASTM, etc.) to ensure engineering standards remain current with industry practice and participate in Trade Associations as requested by management.
• Product compliance with laws regulations, codes and standards
• Codes and Standards purchases, maintenance, distribution, and training

This position will oversee the quality and testing functions of their products and is paying $120,000 to $133,000 and must be located in Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL.
