Job Description
Company Description
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality through Afterpay, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Ecosystem team builds products and platforms that support sellers at every step of their Square journey; this includes engaging marketing pages, intelligent onboarding flows, insightful dashboards, and more — all with the goal of making it smooth for sellers to get started and grow their business with Square.
As a Product Manager reporting to Product Management Lead for Ecosystems Discovery, you will manage product initiatives from inception through execution. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, data analysts, marketers and other GTM teams to ensure that our customer's expectations are met as they discover and purchase Square products. This position is remote.
You Will:
  • Be accountable and responsible for product initiatives and frequent releases with incremental wins
  • Define and communicate product goals to all team members
  • Prioritize and sequence product initiatives against an objective
  • Write and promote user narratives that imagine the improved experience we may want to give our customers
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to continuously improve the product experience
  • Perform research on market trends and competitive analysis
  • Communicate development status and progress toward milestones
Qualifications
You Have:
  • Passion for Square and it's mission to help every size of business succeed
  • Prior experience working as a Growth PM or product marketer at a technology company
  • A bias to take action without having every detail ironed out
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of product management experience where you collaborated with design and engineering teams
  • An inquisitive personality where you love to inquire; you're always asking questions
  • Natural leadership instincts and can demonstrate skills to inspire creativity
  • An analytical and metrics-driven framework to make decisions
